Calendar of Events Mon, Jan 30, 2-4 p.m. McDowell County/ Golden LEAF Community Assistance Initiative – community forum The public is invited to attend a community forum hosted by the Golden LEAF Foundation to continue the Golden LEAF Foundation’s Community Assistance Initiative process by receiving feedback from Golden LEAF staff on proposal ideas and determining a community review team. The Community Assistance Initiative is a grantmaking process targeting economically distressed counties across North Carolina and is currently being implemented in McDowell County. Yancey County Library __________________________________________________________________ Tues, Feb 10, noon Beaufort County/ Golden LEAF Community Assistance Initiative – Call for Proposals As part of Golden LEAF’s Community Assistance Initiative process in Beaufort County, the Foundation is now accepting proposal ideas that directly address the funding priorities established at a series of community meetings. To be considered, project ideas must be submitted using a proposal form specific to Beaufort County and must be received at the Golden LEAF offices no later than Noon on Friday, February 10, 2012. Proposals received on forms for other Golden LEAF grant cycles will not be considered through the CAI process.
