| Project Description | This grant will be used to assist Tri-County
Community College in meeting the educational needs of displaced workers in
Cherokee, Clay, and Graham counties. Funds will be used to retrain
workers from the recently closed VF Jeanswear Corporation for job
opportunities in healthcare occupations (475 job opportunities) and in
positions occurring from industry expansions (60 salaried & 290 line
worker positions).
