| Grant Amount | $260,000.00 |
| Project Description | This project will assist with a 5-year, $150 million expansion and upgrade of an existing industry in Craven County. The expansion of BSH Home Appliances Corporation in New Bern will result in an increase of more than 1,400 employees, adding $49 million to the company's current payroll. Approximately 45% of the new jobs will be sheet metal fabricator positions. Funds from GLF will be used to purchase specialized equipment for Craven Community College to offer training in sheet metal fabrication to potential employees from Craven, Carteret, Jones, Pamlico, and Pitt counties. |

| Project Title | Retaining and expanding Jobs in Nash County |
| Grant Amount | $54,560.00 |
| Project Description | This Golden LEAF Grant is being used by Nash County
for predevelopment costs associated with retaining 70 and creating 50 to
95 new jobs at two industries in Nash County. These funds will be used to
leverage a $99,900 USDA RBEG grant to complete the project. In addition,
the project will promote the development of vacant properties along
Highway 97 for residential, commercial, and industrial uses.
