Golden LEAF News - December 2008
Greetings! In 1999, the Golden LEAF Foundation began its work to administer one-half of North Carolina's share of the Master Settlement Agreement (MSA) in accordance with the consent decree between 46 states and cigarette manufacturers. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the MSA. A nonprofit organization devoted to the economic well-being of North Carolinians, Golden LEAF endeavors to strengthen the state’s economy through diverse grantsmaking. Please read and pass on to your colleagues recent news of our work throughout the state, especially in tobacco-dependent, economically distressed and rural communities. Sincerely,
