Golden LEAF News - July 2009
Greetings!
The Golden LEAF Foundation adopted a new Open Grants Program, replacing our Annual Grants Cycle. The Open Grants Program is designed to make it easier for applicants to submit a project for consideration by Golden LEAF and to make funding opportunities available throughout the year.
Although there are no deadlines for submitting a Letter of Inquiry in the Open Grants Program, the Foundation has established a timeline to provide applicants guidance on when they can expect to receive a decision regarding their submission. You can access the timeline by clicking here.
The next Economic Catalyst deadline is September 15, 2009.
The Foundation awarded 39 grants totaling over $9.2 million at its June Board meeting. Seventeen of those awards, totaling $3.01 million, went to community colleges across North Carolina for the Golden LEAF Opportunities for Work program. Click here to use our website’s grants search feature and highlight GLOW under Grant Cycle to view these grant awards.
An outreach video explaining Golden LEAF’s priorities and processes for our grantsmaking programs can be accessed by clicking here.
