Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to East Carolina University and its partners to establish the Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Academy (AMIA) which will deliver hands-on, experiential STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math) learning opportunities for middle school students (grades 6-8) and middle school teachers. The project is a partnership between East Carolina University, Pitt County Schools and Pitt Community College. Golden LEAF funds will be used over 2 years for personnel, stipends, equipment, software, transportation and supplies.
