Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Carteret County Public Schools (CCPS) to extend STEM middle to high school pathways aligned with area employers’ needs and community college workforce training programs. The project will implement Project Lead the Way (PLTW) STEM centers in middle and high schools that offer engineering and biomedical career pathway options for all CCPS students. Golden LEAF support will be used primarily for specialized equipment for the PLTW program, professional development for teachers, and external partner and employer training.
