Description:

The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to assist Randolph Community College with additional training capacity to meet increased enrollment in related advanced manufacturing programs. With additional capacity, computer integrated machining students will be trained on how to safely set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, be prepared to test and earn their NIMS credentials as a CNC operator or CNC programmer, and will be exposed to CNC technology that is identical to what local industries have in the area. The college has five local industries that routinely hire graduates from the program and anticipates that trend will continue. Golden LEAF funds will be used to purchase equipment.
