Comprehensive Inflow and Infiltration Study

Town of Selma
Program Area:
Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery Grant Program
County of Applicant:

The Town of Selma has evidence that excessive rainfall and water pressure caused by Hurricane Florence damaged the town sewer collection system leading to significant increases in inflow and infiltration. Since Hurricane Florence, the town is averaging about 13 million gallons of additional flow each month. Golden LEAF Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds will be used for professional engineering fees to conduct a comprehensive study of the system to identify needed repairs and necessary improvements resulting from the hurricane damage. All town sewer customers will benefit from the project.
