Description:

This Golden LEAF grant will be used to support various research efforts targeting Internal Necrosis in Sweet Potatoes, a disease that can have a serious effect on sweet potato production. Research strategies may include post-harvest handling studies, fast tracking the development of new sweet potato clones, identifying the causes of the disease, and developing diagnostic tools to screen sweet potato varieties. Golden LEAF funds will be used for research-related expenses.
