Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools (ECPPS) to support the integration of STEM-related career pathways, blended and collaborative learning, and project-based learning in two middle schools. Hands-on learning labs are expected to boost middle school students’ inquiry and foster their curiosity for STEM industry opportunities and high school career pathways. ECPPS plans to expand partnerships with local and regional businesses and industries to guide curriculum development and instruction. Golden LEAF funds will be used for STEM learning labs in two middle schools and to support professional development activities to assist teachers in using project-based instruction and collaborative learning strategies.
