Description:

The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to provide funding to North Carolina State University’s NC 10% Campaign for continued support of its efforts to increase demand for locally grown foods. In addition to continuing its ongoing work of developing demand for North Carolina food, the program will develop large-scale supply-chain models that will increase local food sourcing from more mid to large size farmers. The campaign increases sales and profits for producers, helps farmers access lucrative and growing markets, and creates jobs and business opportunities around needed infrastructure.
