Description:

The purpose of this grant is to support the establishment of a Fire Academy that will offer training to individuals interested in seeking employment as a firefighter and for continuing education credits for existing firefighters. Modifications in curriculum and course delivery will allow participants to be job-ready in two months instead of two years. The project will help meet the current and projected demand of regional fire departments for new firefighters.
