Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Granville County to complete a waterline extension from Oxford to the Granville County Expo and Convention Center. The Center will provide space for activities such as seminars, job training, simulcasts, and trade shows, and support the County’s economic development efforts. There are currently no adequate comparable public meeting areas in this part of Granville County, and several companies and other entities have indicated that having this meeting space will provide an important service to them. The County is investing over $700,000 of county resources for the purchase and upfit of the facility.
