Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Hoke County Schools for a project to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in their community. The district will create an Allied Health Curriculum Pathways program to prepare students for postsecondary opportunities and/or employment in the healthcare field through licensures, certifications, credentials, and through courses that result in college credit. The project will be implemented in partnership with local universities and healthcare facilities. The grant will be used to establish two 21st century allied health sciences labs, a biomedical tech classroom, and a fully equipped clinic that offers work-based learning experiences.
