Description:

This Golden LEAF grant will provide funding to Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital (HCMH) to assist with renovating a vacant building in Jonesville, NC into a healthcare facility. The facility will contain an urgent care center that will improve community access to immediate, high-quality care for illness and injury. The Center will also house Hugh Chatham Corporate Care (HCCC), the occupational medicine program of HCMH. HCCC will work with local employers to reduce healthcare costs, increase productivity, reduce absenteeism, enhance employee morale, and attract and retain high-quality employees in the Jonesville and Yadkin county businesses it will serve. The project will create 20 new jobs with an average annual salary of $52,272. Golden LEAF funds will be used for renovation costs.
