Description:

Flooding from Hurricane Matthew damaged the city’s stormwater system located in Fayetteville’s Forest Hills neighborhood. The system was overcharged by high water causing streets to be overtopped, resulting in erosion, a large sinkhole, and flooding of homes located in low-lying lots. This Golden LEAF grant will support replacement of the undersized infrastructure.
