Description:

This Golden LEAF grant provides funds to assist Hyde County Schools with implementing a digital learning initiative in grades 6-12. Each middle and high school student and faculty member in the County will receive a Google Chromebook. Funds will also be used to support professional development for faculty members, integration of classroom technology, and student participation in college courses through a partnership with Beaufort County Community College. Hyde County Schools will sustain the initial investments in the digital learning initiative through annual funding from the NC Department of Public Instruction and with funds from various sources including but not limited to small school supplemental, technology, and at-risk funding streams.
