Description:

Flooding as a result of Hurricane Florence destroyed county-owned vehicles and equipment, including a rescue boat and motor, the sheriff’s office vehicle, a tax office vehicle and the Jones County Landfill scales. Golden LEAF Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds will be used to replace each of the destroyed items. FEMA Public Assistance is not available for these items. Jones County did receive insurance proceeds for the scales and will use those proceeds for this project.
