Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Cumberland County Schools for support in establishing Project Lead the Way programs (PLTW) (Gateway to Technology (GTT) curriculum) in 7th and 8th grades at seven middle schools in Cumberland County. The PLTW programs will create a 6-12 pre-engineering and engineering pathway that provides students opportunities to explore engineering careers and other STEM-related career exploration through project-based learning experiences. Golden LEAF funds will support the initial teacher training, technology, curriculum materials and classroom up-fit.
