The Town of Liberty has seen increased inflow and infiltration problems following Hurricane Florence. The town believes the flooding as a result of Hurricane Florence damaged the town’s sewer system. The town will use Golden LEAF Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery grant funds to conduct an analysis of the areas of the sewer system that were most likely affected by Hurricane Florence. The town will use existing staff and town-owned camera equipment to assist with the study. The entire town, approximately 2,600 water and sewer customers, will benefit from the assessment.
