Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) to expand its engineering technology program. This expansion will include the development of a mechatronics program and updating equipment in the welding program to meet current industry standards and increasing student demand. RCCC will also host a registered apprenticeship program for mechatronics technicians with work-based placements available at 12 area companies. Golden LEAF funds will be used for professional development and equipment for the mechatronics and welding programs.
