Two taxilanes at the Pitt-Greenville Airport were submerged for six days when waters from the Tar River flooded the airport following Hurricane Matthew. The taxilane pavement is failing and breaking apart, creating a hazard for the airplanes. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funding will complement funds from the NC Department of Commerce to replace the taxilanes.
