The purpose of this grant is to assist Wilkes County Schools with expanding student access to STEM curricula and programs that align with the employment needs of area industry. Project ADMIT will increase the number of college courses offered in technical programs by providing enhanced curriculum opportunities and create seamless transitions from grades 6-14. Three of the County’s four high schools do not have the space available to accommodate the equipment and curriculum programming for Career and College Promise degree and certification programs in Computer Technology Integration and Applied Engineering Technology. Golden LEAF funds will be used to expand space at area high schools to allow additional program offerings.
