The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Wilson Community College for the development of a WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) initiative to address a shortfall of prepared workers for existing industry and business in Wilson County. The ‘Ready for Work’ program will address local employer needs for qualified, job ready workers by creating a credentialed pool of applicants that possess needed skills. The program will also prepare workers to be more competitively positioned for higher skilled and technical jobs. Golden LEAF funds will be used for personnel, transportation and job profiling/CRC assessments.
Any project more than a couple of years old may not reflect current Board priorities.
