Description:

The United Way of Coastal Carolina (based in New Bern) serves as the fiscal agent for the Craven County Disaster Recovery Alliance (CCDRA), the FEMA designated long term recovery group established following Hurricane Matthew. The CCDRA includes representation from more than 60 churches, nonprofit organizations, schools and community members. The CCDRA has identified 2,500 homes in need of repair. Grant funds will be used for building materials. The CCDRA is working to secure a warehouse space and will leverage bulk buying to purchase home repair materials. The CCDRA works to match volunteer organizations with survivors to complete home repairs.
