Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries Crisis Center (DCOM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2004 for the purpose of assisting individuals and families in crisis due to a natural disaster. DCOM partners with the Department of Social Services, James Sprunt Community College, as well as other state agencies and nonprofit organizations. Through a team of volunteers, DCOM provides counseling, rental assistance, replacement personal property, and repairs homes of individuals and families in crisis. DCOM currently operates five food pantries throughout the County as well as a weekend food backpack program for students. Funding awarded from the NC Hurricane Florence Relief Fund will be used to support increased capacity of these programs for survivors of Hurricane Florence.
Any project more than a couple of years old may not reflect current Board priorities.
