Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to NCDA&CS to assist with construction of a new pavilion at the Southeastern North Carolina Agricultural Center (SENCAC) in Robeson County. The pavilion will allow SENCAC to host livestock shows and other events, increasing revenues for farmers. The pavilion will also drive traffic to the co-located farmers market and spur business for direct service providers, such as feed and tack stores. Golden LEAF funds will be used to complement a $3.7 million state appropriation for the project.
