Description:

The purpose of this grant is to support St. Andrews University (formerly St. Andrews Presbyterian College) as it collaborates with Webber International University expand programming and support additional instructional locations in N.C. and to maintain its accreditation. These steps will help St. Andrews increase residential enrollment, expand on-line educational opportunities, and develop new, career-focused curricula. These developments, in turn, will allow the University to retain 185 jobs in Scotland County and create 40 new jobs in North Carolina. In September 2011, Scotland County had the highest unemployment rate of any county in North Carolina at 17.7%.
