Description:

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to the Town of North Wilkesboro to complete improvements to the Wilkes Industrial Park in order to make more of the site marketable to new and expanding businesses. The Town is currently engaged in an effort to upgrade and open up more of the park for commercial development with the further extension of sewer lines, the creation of two building-ready pads and the development of an access road. Golden LEAF funds would be utilized for the development of a 1,325 linear foot access road from the northern end of the Wilkes Industrial Park.
