Kimberly Smith

Kimberly Smith joined the Golden LEAF Foundation in May 2022 as a program officer. She evaluates funding proposals, supports the implementation of Golden LEAF priorities, and provides oversight for project monitoring and compliance activities. Kimberly has a background in quality control and grants program management. She has an extensive history of community outreach and providing services to individuals in eastern North Carolina that are underserved and/or underrepresented.

Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan University and her Master of Arts in Human Services from Bellevue University with a concentration in healthcare. She is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator and has served as an adjunct instructor teaching human services courses at Halifax Community College in Weldon, NC.

Kimberly is a native of Halifax County. In her spare time, she enjoys activities such as bike riding and taking trips with her family.
